Face Fit Testing

Objectives

To test delegates to ensure correct fit of respiratory protection equipment using qualitative testing methods, against various half and disposable masks.

• Introduction to the concept of face fit testing
• Demonstration of qualitative technique
• Practical testing of all candidates

Face Fit Test Duration: approximately 20 minutes per delegate

NB. Delegates are asked not to smoke or drink coffee at least 30 minutes before a face fit. Delegates should also be clean shaven to ensure an airtight seal between the mask and face.
