• Practice safer methods of moving and handling.
• Ensure all candidates understand the importance to themselves of safer people handling and object handling techniques.

To give you the knowledge and skills to handle objects correctly and to incorporate skills learned to clients in a Care environment::

• Employer and employee rights and responsibilities
• Structure and function of the back and spine
• Effective movement principles
• Understand types of injuries that can be sustained whilst moving and handling

Refresher training is recommended every 3 years
