First Aid Update

Objectives

To give those who are already qualified First Aiders or who have attended Emergency First Aid training and hold valid certification the opportunity to attend an update session to add to their skills and knowledge.

Contents

Candidates should demonstrate their competence to:

• assess the situation in an emergency

• administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)

• administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation

• administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding

• administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock

Free to all candidates who have sat on a First Aid course at Evolve in the past two years.
